John is a great man. I called him randomly in the middle of the day 2 hours before I got off work. I mentioned I was not from here and he had told me he was booked up and usually takes appointments. John took me in at a random time last minute with no appointment .(book with him before hand if you can) I show up right after work and this man gives me the best fade a cut I’ve had in a while. I travel for work and a good barber is hard to find. To say John did good is an understatement. This man did a phenomenal job. Extremely kind and out going, listens to you and has an exquisite hand. John Petty has been cutting my son hair since he was one years old ! In my opinion he’s the best barber in Bastrop La (even won an award for it). He’s always been patient and kind when dealing with my son! I think cutting hair is a work of art and I’ve always been picky about who cuts my sons hair. I don’t even have to tell him what to do anymore he knows exactly how we like it and he perfects it everytime! I’m a single mom and I’ve always hated going to barbershops because of all of the masculine energy but I’ve never had that problem going to his shop it gives off a homey vibe !
