This was my first time going to a nail salon, and likely my last. I was planning on meeting my estranged family and wanted a nice change. I was excited about getting my nails done because I usually don't care for nails. I found the nail tech through Instagram and booked an appointment. He suspiciously couldn't recreate the same design on his page and painted dots on my nails. I said it wasn't the same as his photo, so he suggested glitter polish on top. I accepted my faith in being scammed and just agreed to get the ordeal over with. The price was 72$. On the brighter side, I will stop self-deprecating about my ability as an artist and start back up again. My pessimism has had me wasting a lot of money lately on things I could do myself. I will stick with using my own talent in the future.
