After having back surgery, I had a week’s worth of beard that I needed to do something with. Just by happenstance, I called Tony’s Barber Studio out of the blue to ask if they would trim up a beard. He told me yes and that it was first come, first serve on Saturdays. Having never been there before, I walked right in and a guy asked me if he could help me. I rubbed my beard, and he said, oh, you’re the guy for a trim, come and sit right down. Tony, who turned out to be the owner, was very cordial and easy to talk with. I felt right at home immediately. Tony’s Barber Studio, right across from the library in St. Cloud, is a place where you feel welcome the moment you walk in. I came as a walk-in, and Tony took me in right away. The shop had modern rap playing, walls covered in haircut posters, canvas prints of his work, and photos of his kids that gave the place a personal, lived-in feel. I asked for a high bald fade and a trim on top. My hair is thick, but Tony handled it like a pro. He could tell I didn’t know much about hair, and he took care of everything with confidence. They can do a variety of cuts. The cut is always exactly what I ask for. Everybody there can cut well.
