The Yard Greenpoint

If you are renting an office be aware. I have spent three month in one of their solitary office. The roof was decaying and ended up in a dust haze when Zooming with the team. Roof crumples from the constant construction added a very delightful dystopian feeling to my work day. So I’ve had enough, packed my dusty equipment and left two weeks early and left that chapter behind. Not knowing that it’s not done yet, they withhold my deposit around $1000 never to give it to me back again, and not for the lack of trying on my side. So if that’s what you are looking for then maybe The Yard is for you.

Great coworking space. So happy this is where my company rents space. It has nice amenities and is in a great location. They could improve the furniture they have in the offices but not a big deal.

I’m currently looking for a co-working space and was happy to stumble upon the Yard. It is very well located in between two amazing neighborhoods and lots of great restaurants. The space is humble, friendly staff, and well priced. It might be due for a renovation when compared with others that I have seen, but no complaints.

Just go elsewhere… Highlights: Burglary, easily compromised security video system, incompetent staff, unresponsive management and horrifyingly large roaches (bring your own Raid, people). My experience at the Yard has not been ideal. To be fair, I will only share my opinion of the Williamsburg location, and I admit upfront that I have not visited other sites. I’ve been a member since the beginning of the year. The location seemed perfect, as did the facilities and the promise of a secure environment where I could work evenings and late nights if needed. Security was in fact my most pressing concern. I often find myself working into the early morning, and the Yard’s promise of 24-hour video surveillance sealed the deal. I love working here. The community is what makes it for me, in addition to the guys that own the place - Morris & Richard, the guy who helps to run the place - Andy. They're all great characters, and I really enjoy my little space. There's always someone interesting moving in, it seems, and I love what they're doing for the community of entrepreneurs in Greenpoint/Williamsburg!
