The Threading Place (Medford)

I’m half hispanic, so I’ve got some intense facial hair and sensitive skin. I’ll prob never go back to waxing if I can help it. I’ve been going to this place for years. First to their location in Medford square, then at this spot when the square location closed. I mostly only go for my upper lip and to clean up my existing brows, not much for shaping. So I can’t really speak much to how well they do that. There are a couple of consistent threaders that do a nice job for me. Especially the older woman who is probably the manager or owner. She always does a great job! Sometimes the other threaders can be a bit rough for my liking, if I’m being completely honest. But having your facial hair ripped out is never a pleasant experience, so it is what it is! Weekends are pretty much always busy,

I have been a regular customer for years. I have inconsistent results with threading my eyebrows depending on who is working. Today was the last time I visit. My sister and I got our brows threaded, and hers came out fine, while the woman doing my brows completed ruined mine. They are totally uneven, with two different shapes - she thinned out one of my eyebrows while leaving the other bushy… One is curved and one is angular… It will take weeks to grow back. Very disappointed.

They generally do a good job but when I met with different staff they are inconsistent with pricing. One staff member charged me one fee for lips (upper and lower). However, others charge two separate fees for upper and lower lip. All members should be consistent with fees either it’s one fee for both upper and lower lip or separate fees!!

I’ve seen a lot of the other reviews saying they ruined their brows.. I have gone here like 5 times and I wouldn’t say my brows are always perfect but they definitely never come out ruined. I took off some stars because I have had to point out what’s wrong with my brows to the younger threader (after she’s done) and then she will either fix it or not. I have hard brows because they’re different shapes and thin out in certain parts but I have gone to places that can work with them and make them look equal. I mostly go there because it’s convenient and most of the times I don’t have to make an appointment, I can just walk in. Basically I would say they’re gonna get the job done with threading and it’ll look nice but if you’re a perfectionist then another place that’s gonna take a little mor

Don't get tinting done here gave them a second chance w someone else and still messed up horribly I asked her to take it off after she couldn't take it fully off and charged me for something I didn't like very strange
