The Studio

I had a phenomenal experience at the Studio while getting ready for my Tidewater Inn wedding. Special shoutout to Tunie, Ashley, Kate, and April for working your magic! My bridesmaids and I felt so relaxed - it was so convenient being onsite and being able to order catering from the inn. I've been in several weddings and this was the best wedding hair and makeup I've seen yet - everyone looked beautiful and it lasted all day. The space was so warm and welcoming and our big group of 12 fit very comfortably. My grandma, mom, mother in law, and I all got our hair done in the salon for the rehearsal dinner as well, and it all just worked perfectly!

The Perfect “Getting Ready” Spot for Any Bride After choosing the Tidewater for our wedding, I was thrilled to learn it had a salon right on site. For a bride who likes things easy and stress-free, this was perfection. Tunie, the Salon Manager, made everything effortless. From my trial to the big day, she handled all the details like a pro. Lexi did my makeup and Ashley styled my hair. My trial went so smoothly that I knew I was in good hands for the wedding. On the big day, my bridal party and I simply walked downstairs from our rooms to the studio and the fun began. The ladies were amazing—so talented, upbeat, and calm. The Studio made our wedding morning feel relaxed, calm, and completely stress-free, which was exactly what we needed on such a big day. Tunie was an incredible sounding board when it came to morning-of logistics and was so patient and supportive throughout the planning process. On the day itself, the hair and makeup services were absolutely seamless. They flawlessly glammed my bridesmaids, my mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and me, and truly made each of us feel like the best version of ourselves. I could not recommend the Studio enough, especially for brides getting married at the Tidewater Inn.

After many years of at home hair cuts, my wife suggested Ashley at Studio 2. Ashely is awesome! Let me explain: she is a very skilled, knowledgeable and patient stylist. She has been able to correct the problem areas of my hair (it seems to grow differently on the left and right sides) and provide me with a haircut that looks good from every angle. I'm always confident that I look my best whenever she cuts my hair. I highly recommend Ashley and Studio 2.

I had my wedding reception at Tidewater Inn and we used Studio 2 Salon for hair and makeup for myself, my mom, mother in law and 7 bridesmaids. Ashley, Lexi and April were the ladies that worked on all of our hair and make up and they did an incredible job! I was able to go in the day before and get hair extensions by Ashley. Ashley in particular was amazing! She was so flexible with me changing up the hair style I wanted and made it look perfect and April did my lashes. I know my girls were all happy with their hair and make up. We took over the whole salon and were able to bring in a lite breakfast. It was relaxing and we all had so much fun!! Can't recommend these ladies enough! Tunie, the manager, was also so friendly and so willing to make sure we had the best experience!
