Home away from home, whether I am enjoying poker with the fellas, a Tuesday tasting, a bottle share, a cigar on the balcony while watching downtown Lee's Summit, or trying an exclusive pour at Friday night's pappy hour.

The owner Levi, hosted an interesting and fun filled murder mystery that unfolded before, during, and after a tasty dinner complete with drinks, appetizers, and dessert for a very reasonable price. My wife and I had a blast. It was all themed around a 1940's reelection dinner for a fictional Congressman. Will be looking hard at the Strother Room event pages from now on.

The inside is truly a work of art. Really well designed and cozy space to work. Overall, definitely worth a visit. The owner is a nice fellow too, a local business definitely worth supporting. Edit: I have now come several times. There is no better place to get work done, I have gotten so far ahead and with the deals they are running right now I would highly recommend coming to give it a try Update 2: there is no better place to work remote. The Freedom pass is now in effect and it is only 20-30 bucks to come in for the full day once you are a member.

My favorite place to go for a whiskey, cigar, and visit with some good friends. If you ever wondered what upscale life in the Victorian period was like, you have to see this place. The owner is as nice as they come, and the service is white glove (literally). If your looking to try that High End whiskey that you can't find anywhere, odds are The Strother Room has it.
