Excellent experience. I took my 14 year old to get a fresh look and Jon did not disappoint. Great attention to detail and really took his time. The owner, Benjamin, was there as well and we all had a nice chat about how hard he has worked to maintain his place and what he did. Im impressed by his ability to design a shop but equally impressed to watch boy men at their trade doing such great work. Thanks for the great service. They said something that stuck with me- "men should take 1 hour out of the month to take care of themselves." So many times I hear women say these things, but I love to hear it from a man's perspective. And I couldn't agree more! I'm new to Vista from OC and love Straightedge! If you want a hair-cut that looks good and holds up to the test of time this is your place! Benjamin and JonJon are experts! Good vibes, beautiful retro venue and excellent attention to detail.

Great place to get a hair detail. I say detail because that's what you get for a full hour. They will take there time to perfect your hair. Any style you want just ask for ben. Only thing is that you can't just walk in and get a cut. You have to make a appointment. But believe me it very worth the wait . They are by far the best in all San diego. He has clients that come all the way from downtown for a hair cut if that doesn't say quality then you must be high! 😂

Benjamin at Straightedge has cut my hair a few times now. I was looking for a barber after my last one didn't work out that well. Also, I wanted to support a local business. Having abandoned my previous barber, I had a mop of poorly cut hair. Benjamin spent five to ten minutes talking to me about how I would like my hair cut then spent a solid 60 minutes cutting it. In the subsequent visits he continues to demonstrate a lot of pride in his work. His experience and attention to detail make for a perfect cut every time. I would highly recommend him to anyone. In addition to his skill as a barber, the vibe of his shop is really cool and he always has some good music playing on the TV.

Really clean spot, the barbers take their time and do amazing work. Appointment required, and there is a missed appointment fee if you are a no show. Completely reasonable and understandable. Update - several years later now and they still give me the best cuts in town every 3 weeks!
