The Sticks

Finally, the space I’ve been looking for in Chicago for years!! I’m so glad this shared wood shop and makers space opened up. I’ve done the monthly unlimited membership so far, and the 24/7 access is very helpful and worth the price point for my use case, where I have my own small woodworking business on the side of my full-time work. The shop is well equipped, extremely well maintained, organized, and kept clean by members. Love the community there too, folks are friendly and helpful and it’s cool to be surrounded by such a variety of creativity. Fick is very helpful and responsive for any questions I have. I am so thankful to Fick that this place exists. It is a clean beautiful large space for people to learn and be creative. I attended a beginner stained glass flower making class and I will say that MAC is an amazing teacher. MAC was able to answer any and every question and help as needed. MAC is so knowledgeable about stained glass and I look forward to attending more classes taught by MAC. Thank you for helping boost my confidence as I am learning this amazing form of art!

I needed to use a bandsaw and some other tools that I did not have in order to complete the bench below. I bought a day pass and although I had never used a bandsaw and some of their other tools Fick patiently gave me some pointers that helped me along. I don’t think I would have been able to complete the bench without The Sticks.

So glad this place exists! It's the perfect spot for me to work on my projects, with all the tools that I need.
