The Spot Apprentice Academy

I would not recommend this school to anyone. In the time I’ve been here, I feel like I haven’t learned anything of real value. The program is made unnecessarily difficult, with countless hoops to jump through just to make progress toward getting your license. They enforce rules with no empathy or flexibility — for example, I was literally one minute late and they closed the door on me instead of showing any understanding or grace after I ran to the class and was out of breathe because there was an accident. The messed up part about me being one minute late is the first 30 minutes of class you literally don’t do anything!!!! Everyone is sitting on their phones and chillin. The lack of empathy shows they care more about money than actually helping their students succeed. It really feels like

This is a bad school pretty much accepted my Barber’s took there money then later months down the road there asking for paystubs or they won’t count there hours anymore. My barbers ask them "why haven't we done this since day 1" she said "then we would have no apprentices" basically saying that "if we told you all the details you wouldn't have signed up"

My Son Started a few days ago and I was worried because all his days of school since preschool he has struggled with a learning disability. I have had to help him through all these years. He finished high school a semester early and is determined to be a Career Barber and told me this was the best school out there! I Believed him.... Last night when he was reviewing his notes and knew every single answer to any question I asked blew my mind! This to me means the instructors care! They are doing what it takes to help their students retain the knowledge to be successful in their lives as a Barber and I will forever be grateful for them even after just this week. I have never experienced My son taking and retaining this amount of information in such a short time in all his years of school a

I have had a great experience at this school. All the instructors were helpful and informative, and John does an amazing job helping out everyone and getting them started. I especially like that he doesn’t just push you to just get your license; he goes above and beyond to inspire you to think outside of the box and to be as successful as possible!

If I could give a zero I would. I dropped off my son he waited for an hour. Nobody said a word to him. I understand people have appointments but at least let him know and not waste our time. After him waiting an hour a client walked in probably with an appointment. The lady that was cutting hair asked the gentleman are you ready? Not saying a word to my son after an hour!
