My wife and I love this place. Whenever we're in the San Francisco area , we try to allow time to make the drive up to spend 2-3 nights. We always stay on the adults only side of the property. If you just want to be pampered, have a mud bath and soak in their various pools and do nothing in their poolside lounge chairs, this is definitely the place for you.
Modern, airy, with remarquable service. And of course the famous "mudslides" with white clay and their 5 different pools with mineral spring water. The perfect place to pamper during a long, sunny, lazy day. They have food in the spa or you can go to their excellent poolbar Pic bar just next door.
Lovely spa area. Simple and beautiful. Very clean. Had a great massage with Kirsten. Addressed all my kinks in the body efficiently. Glad to spend relaxing time at the spa in rainy weather in Calistoga. Staff was attentive. The heated mineral pools were great even in the rain.
My experience was nothing short of perfection. It's a true wellness destination. The highlight is undoubtedly the incredible collection of pools. The main resort pool is stunning, with a vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere perfect for lounging all day. But the real magic is at the spa's bathhouse. Moving through the different geothermal pools—from the warm mineral pool to the invigorating cold plunge and then the hot pool—is a heavenly circuit that melts away every bit of stress. It felt both therapeutic and incredibly luxurious. Having access to all five pools makes you feel like you're on a comprehensive wellness retreat. I was also extremely impressed with the fitness center. It's not your typical hotel gym. It's spacious, immaculately clean, and filled with state-of-the-art equipment, in
Like many other reviews state, overpriced for sub-par service. Nice enough but sadly not what it used to be, and if I were Auberge I would not want my name on this experience. The facilities are tired; broken shower controls, no water pressure, steam rooms out of order, many lockers broken. All afternoon nobody manned the bar, and the high school girls who “attend” to the pool (if you can call it that) are pretty useless, particularly since half the menu is not available since they are out of stock. Then again, who really wants three types of pop chips for $5 anyway? Overall fine if experience if “tired Marriott” is your style.
