The Spa at L’Auberge

I have been to many local spas for facials and my recent facial at L' Auberge has to be one of the best! From check-in to check-out to staff was very friendly. Spa space was relaxing, beautiful with amenities such as fire pit in the waiting area, dry sauna and spacious women's locker area. Tea, water and fruit were available in the lounge area also. The best part of my spa experience however, was my treatment with Christee. Christee was amazing! After examining my skin I upgraded to a moisturizing treatment and it was so worth it. My 50 minute facial was so relaxing and left my skin glowing. Highly recommend Chrissie and the Spa at L’Auberge if you’re looking for that special spa experience in San Diego. Loved this spa. Great amenities. Decent (but not great) facial. I have been to MANY spas and have had 100s of facials over the years. The lady didn't perform any extractions and it seemed as though more services could have occured during my 50 min session. She also didn't possess great technique that only comes from experience. Decent prices. Nice location. Improvements? Relaxation room needs snacks and drinks. All they have is tea and apples. Wished they had a pool and jacuzzi. No sauna, although they do have a steam room that is very nice. Clean and works well. Overall, pretty small spa but it still deserves 4 stars. 5 stars are reserved for the absolute best spas. If the treatment had been better, I might have given 5 stars.

I’ve been to a lot of spas and had a lot of services, but this might be THE best one yet. I requested the Pacifica package - body scrub and massage - and am so pleased that I’m writing this review from the spa’s patio. The spa is a total experience - from the minute you walk in the door, you’re greeted with an aroma that you immediately want to replicate at home. The ladies locker room has everything you could possibly need (hair, hygiene, etc), showers and a sauna. The massage room I was in had a shower for in between the scrub and massage - making everything fluid and effortless. Kelly, my masseuse, listened to my needs and focused heavily on my shoulder/back areas - relieving so much tightness. I am from South Carolina. I was visiting my daughters in San Diego! My 70th birthday weekend with the highlight being Spa L’Auberge. The BEST 80 minute massage given by America. She was great ensuring a most excellent experience. I would highly recommend.

This spa was good. The place was very clean and smelled so nice. They only have a sauna no other amenities which was a disappointment. The showers and locker room are clean and well decorated. The spa itself is small. The pool and jacuzzi are not located near by for the spa, it’s for all hotel guests. The relaxing area outdoor space was wonderful and cozy by the fireplace. The indoor space was not as comfortable. They had tea and a few snacks. Dee the front desk was so nice and welcoming. The facial itself was mediocre, that is why I’m rating this 3 stars. Not worth the price. The real bummer was when the three of us ladies tried to go over to the pool for lunch they stopped us to give back the robes and couldn’t walk over in them. Not sure why.
