The Spa at Briar Barn Inn

Sadly I did not have a good experience. It was my first time at the Spa and was looking forward to a relaxing facial. I had a small, barely visible lip cold sore and for safety reasons I was told I could not have a facial. We changed the treatment to a “relaxation” package which included a head , shoulder and arm massage. It sounded all very nice until she put gloves on to massage any part of my skin. I actually have never had any kind of massage with gloves on and it feels anything but relaxing. I felt like I was treated if I had a serious contagious disease!! If I would have known that she is afraid of catching a cold sore, I would have definitely rescheduled !! The esthetician was very nice, but I will never go back there.

We booked our Duet massage for our anniversary. Our experience was truly exceptional. Allyson was very professional. She communicated her next steps and checked in often. The table had a heating option which never got too intense. Complimentary robes we're provided to change into prior to the service. Water was provided at the conclusion of the session.
