The Shop

Was in from out of town to help my folks. Got a last minute appointment same day for my dad. Prev was great in helping my dad and taking care of his haircut after being in the hospital. Highly recommend!

I booked an appointment several days in advance to get a haircut here after work. I planned my entire evening around getting to the barbershop after my work day. When I arrived at 6:30 for my 6:30 appointment, The Shop was closed. The shades were down and a closed sign was on the window. I'm incredibly disappointed and will definitely not be attempting to go here again.

I honestly can’t say enough positive things about the shop. Aside from being a skilled stylist, Stephen Prev is super nice, professional, clean and great with kids. I went in there once on the recommendation of a friend, and since then it’s the only place I will go. Highly recommend.

Prev at The Shop is the BEST barber in Boston! Hands down!! I bartend in the city & everyone always asks me where I get my haircut, so I gladly tell them & then when they hear the price it blows their mind bc their paying double the price to get cuts on Newbury St that don’t look half as good as my fade (I get a zero fade, trim the top & line up/maintenance my beard). So ppl do the math & realize it’s cheaper to take the T to Beachmont off the Blue Line, he’s across the street from the station,& get a cut at The Shop then getting a cut where they go in Boston. Plus, Prev is just a good dude on top of it that’s really fun to talk to & genuinely cares that he gives you the best cut you can get. Can’t say enough good things about this place.
