The Shop on the Ave

I’ll just stick with my Hispanic barbers that actually work for the money. My cut comes out fresh every time I go to my OG barbers. The fades are unmatched for their prices no matter which barber I pick. I Made it on time for my appointment but had to wait 15min because the barber still had a client. When I sat down my cut felt rushed, no attention to detail, or conversation to build rapport. No love lost though just sharing my experience. Wishing this business the best ✊🏾

I’ve been going to this shop since July of 2017 and haven’t cheated since..LOL. I’ve been a faithful client of the owner “Dave” and there hasn’t been a time I left his chair disappointed. Great atmosphere, great location, each barber is friendly and welcoming. I truly recommend this shop for kids and adults. Even when I moved from the Philadelphia area to about 45 mins out, I STILL COME!!! They run on a schedule and won’t have you waiting when you have a scheduled appointment. Very diverse and inclusive business‼️

It was our first time coming here and Tez did an amazing job in my son’s shape up. We run into the issue of people pushing his line back, but this didn’t happen. It was an amazing first experience.

Just want to shout out to Tez and the Shop On the Ave. I’ve been a customer for about a year. Gentleman always polite and appointments always on time. Tez did such an excellent job on my cut especially my last visit. I just love my cut and the courteousness extended to seniors. Good job Tez and gentlemen. Plus they are Philadelphia Eagles fan. Each of my expectation were exceeded. The location is in a delightful area of West Mt Airy with plenty of parking. The shop itself is spacious with an "updated" vintage barber shop vibe. I was taken exactly at the time of my appt. I had my hair cut by Dave (the owner), who couldn't have been more warm and friendly. We had a GREAT conversation, and it was apparent that he values relationships with his clients. He spoke to me a lot about what I wanted and proposed several options, which I greatly appreciated. He obviously enjoys what he does and takes great pride in his work. It was very important to him that I was fully satisfied. I never felt rushed.
