The Señor Barbers at Presidio Plaza

Breaks my heart to write a review this bad about a place I have given so much business to. Ive been a long time customer of this shop I have been going here for over 12+ years from childhood to adulthood. The other day I came in for a quick trim. My hair is quite long and I requested a minor long style trim to help maintain shape and length. I told the barber with tatoos that all I needed was a small trim on the sides and a small 1/2 inch off the top with some layers for shape. I showed him a picture of myself with the exact cut I wanted to help assist him (pictured below). The barber then told me that he didnt know what layers were and asked another barber next to him what I was talking about, I was pretty dumbfounded by this but he assured me he would take care of me. Been coming to Senor barber for years and I always go with Briant in the first chair. Always super friendly, clean haircut and gets it done in less than 30 minutes.

Gave simple instructions to the barber of what I wanted and he went back and forth with me on how it should be cut despite me telling him repeatedly what I wanted done , barber proceeds to do his own thing and royally screwed my head up, past the point of no return I finally just said screw it and told him to just give me a low fade! But then he proceeded to once again do his own thing and didn’t even give me a fade!! Barber kept getting distracted talking about a bunch of random nonsense to the other barbers. 30$ for a cut that I didn’t even choose is insane for the treatment and service that was rendered. Would not recommend.

Needed a haircut while in San Clemente. Was staying a few blocks away from Senor Barbers and decided to give em a shot. Al was my barber, he asked and listened even making a suggestion based on his experience. Al gave me a perfect cut, great conversation and never seemed rushed or distracted. Place was orderly, clean and efficient. Great haircut, friendly barbers and a great price is what to expect the Senor Barbers.

Vlad did a good job fading my 5 1/2 year old. His attention span is short, Vlad is patient and accommodating during his haircut. Shop is clean and staff is friendly. We will be back soon for a clean up :)
