I originally had someone else booked for my wedding hair... and while their work is beautiful, after a friend’s recommendation and stumbling across Jesie’s work on Instagram, I felt an instant connection. There was something about their style and energy that just clicked, and I knew I wanted them to be part of my big day. By some stroke of luck (or fate!), they were still available on my wedding date despite their packed schedule and being only a month out from my wedding. I booked them without even meeting them, and we did my hair trial just two days before the wedding. That sounds like a scary experience but I left knowing I had made the right decision. We truly cannot say enough amazing things about Jesie and The Sanctuary Story team. They did hair and makeup for our entire wedding party- two brides, two mother of the brides, and eight bridesmaids (12 people total), and absolutely crushed it! From start to finish, Jesie and their team were kind, inclusive, and so understanding. As an LGBTQ+ couple with a nontraditional wedding and wedding party, it was really important that we find a team that was supportive, welcoming, and would celebrate alongside us. I got married in June 2023, but life got in the way and I never got around to posting my review. I’m now here to say that Jesie and team KILLED IT!!! I seriously could not have asked for a better hair team. A few important points about how incredible they were for our day: 1) I have naturally curly hair and did not want to straighten it for my wedding. Jesie not only allowed this but completely embraced it. I was in love with my hair and felt truly like myself. They were so careful to make sure that I was happy with the style both at my trial and on my wedding day. It almost brought tears to my eyes to see how beautiful my natural hair looked in an event style when I have had to straighten it before styling for all other events in the past. Jesie is the absolute best! They were fantastic to work with from start to finish and we cannot recommend them enough. The morning of the wedding was a stressful one, and Jesie's presence helped calm me down when I was feeling really nervous. They checked in with me throughout the morning to offer support, was so gracious and kind, all while doing several people's hair and absolutely killllling it! Kerri was also a sweetheart and did a beautiful job with my mom's hair and my flower girl's hair. Everyone looked stunning and got so many compliments. Thank you very much, Jesie & Kerri! HIRE JESIE!!! I have so many amazing things to say about Jesie. First and foremost they are extremely patient, flexible, and calming which for my wedding was very important. They took extra time at no extra cost on trials for my mom and I and tried multiple different styles to make sure that we were comfortable. They even accommodated my grandma on my wedding day on short notice. I cannot thank them enough for that because on my wedding day things went so smoothly! The process is also very organized from start to finish. From information sharing, to billing, to resources for inspo, it was super clear and easy!
