I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to after my experience with Nickie. I came in with very clear instructions — straight, blunt, sharp — which are not difficult adjectives to interpret. The result was just NOT what I asked for. When I calmly expressed that MULTIPLE times, Nickie became incredibly defensive, hostile, argumentative, and ultimately yelled at me, proclaiming she gave me the “best goddamn haircut” of my life. In reality, it was one of the worst haircuts. No professional should ever speak to a customer like that, regardless if you disagree. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional encounter. My friend Alyson who got married yesterday visited the salon for wedding hair and makeup after her hair/make up person didn’t show. The staff at the salon were awesome! They did an amazing job on my friend’s hair and makeup. They did wonderful on my makeup. They made my friend feel so special and it allowed us to enjoy the getting ready part of the day. We appreciate you!!

I cannot recommend enough! I brought my 4 year old daughter here who was DYING for a real salon experience and this blew it out of the water! Nickie was AMAZING! She was SO kind and engaging towards my kiddo! She went above and beyond and gave her THE BEST haircut and style EVER!! We already can’t wait to come back!!!

I moved to the area just a few years ago and I was nervous about finding a new stylist that understood my preferences. Angela instantly made me feel comfortable! She always does an amazing job and makes me feel beautiful! All of the staff at The Salon are friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love seeing Willow at The Salon for our child’s curly haircuts! While the salon isn’t specifically designed for kids, Willow has always made my child feel welcomed, special, and beautiful. She’s incredibly kind, patient, and skilled—and her cuts are consistently perfect for curly hair. The salon is affordable, easy to book, and has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owner is also awesome and super friendly, which just adds to the great experience. We especially love that it’s an LGBTQ+ friendly space, where everyone feels accepted and valued. We’ve been back multiple times, and truly, each visit is better than the last. Can’t recommend Willow enough—especially for curly-haired kids!
