The River Massage

I was visiting from out of town and in need of a massage. My friend went here the day before and told me about this place. I was able to schedule a last-minute deep tissue massage with Spencer. He is welcoming and knowledgeable and he really helped with some knots I had in my upper body and hip flexors from our travels. This was definitely one of the top 10 best massages I have ever had and I have had many...Roxanna, the receptionist, was also super friendly and kind on the phone and in person. I wish I lived here so I could come here weekly! I hear Ananda is amazing also. I plan to return here for a longer and other services like cupping/hot stone!! Such a great price also!!! My husband and I had an amazing experience at The River Massage. Eli and Derek were absolutely phenomenal! They were both extremely professional, attentive, and really took the time to listen to our individual needs. Eli made sure I was comfortable the entire time and focused on the areas where I was holding tension, while Derek did an incredible job helping my husband relax and release muscle tightness. We both left feeling so relaxed, refreshed, and taken care of. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend both Eli and Derek!

My back has been jacked up for 2 weeks now. I just went to The River Massage in Tempe. Ananda was my masseuse. I cried tears of joy three times, professed my undying love multiple times, and feel absolutely lighter and more grounded in my body. I didn’t realize how locked up my WHOLE body was! We had a couple’s massage with Melissa and Derek! Very good and much needed massages! We really appreciated the customization options to suit exactly what we needed, no restricting limitations. We both combined a deep tissue massage with cupping. I even added hot towels and hot stones, even with just an hour they were able to fit everything! They were both very cautious about our needs and were very kind! Melissa took her time with all of my knots, very polite and seemed very experienced! My partner said Derek was very intuitive and chill! We would 1000% visit again, especially with these two!!

Came in on a recommendation and got matched up with Spencer. This was my first male massage and he made the whole process comfortable and totally eased all my feelings of awkwardness lol. Spencer does a great job of conversating if you want to or letting you focus when you need to. Spencer is also a solid 220 lbs so he can apply exactly the amount of pressure that you can handle. When I first came in I was recommended by my girlfriend to try her favorite masseuse (someone else) but I decided to take a chance on Spencer and I do not regret it for a second. I will 100% be coming back to river massage to see Spencer again!
