Helen is a wonderful hair stylist! Its not only about the “basic cut,” but the “details” of the cut which she does with expertise and finesse! She goes over and beyond the hair experience in such positives ways that when you walk out of of the establishment, you feel so good about yourself and the look that she bestowed upon you! Helen is great. She can do older people with an appropriate yet updated hairdo. She has also taught me a lot about the care and upkeep of my hair and the styling of it. She's well worth the money!

I don't have enough wonderful words to describe my experience here with Helen P. She was so attentive and caring during our consultation - being honest about our inspirational photos and directing us to the best most economical option for us - Even though I think for her experience she is well priced. She worked us in when other stylists were off and showed us the same care and attention during our appointment. She is truly a master stylist and has the experience and results to prove it. I wish I could move her to Texas!

I had my first appointment yesterday at The Refinery Salon and my experience was enjoyable. Helen was so knowledgeable and gracious. She has the skill of really hearing her client and blending their ideas with her own creativity. What she did in one visit was amazing as I had a bad cut and color at another salon. Moreover, we have a plan for the next few visits to achieve goals that we agreed upon that will result in a more natural look with less effort. Since moving to NC two years ago, I have searched for someone who could give me the cut and color that I enjoyed in Florida. I found that person in Helen and will look no longer. I cannot recommend her more highly.
