This review is for Cre who is a stylist at the Pennsylvania location…… Calling her just a stylist is actually an insult as she is capable and certified in several areas and, she is excellent at them all. My most recent visit with her was amazing she expertly installed my butterfly locs which I love and will keep in for about 8 weeks……. Cre is extremely talented at what she does and I trust her to always leave me looking fabulous….. I forgot to mention that I recently experienced the loss of my father and called Cre for a last minute hair appointment she rushed to get me in. I will forever be grateful and I will be a life long client.

I would have given this place 1 star, but after my experience with Andy, despite my distaste for this barbershop, he gets his OWN personal star. I arrived at 4 PM on a weekday after speaking to a lady on the telephone. She told me that I was welcome to bring my son in for a haircut, but that there may be a patron ahead of us. I agreed, came into the shop, and I sat down with my son to wait. I patiently watched patrons come and go, and Andy told me that these particular patrons had appointments. This was understandable, and, being a reasonable and prudent person, I awaited service with my 7-year -old son, who has special needs. Well over an hour later, I asked Andy about the wait, and he said that The Real Cut Above mainly operates by appointment, and that I may or may not receive servic

Not impressed at all. Made an appointment, showed up on time. Chris was cutting someone elses hair and said it’d be about 10-15 minutes. Sat there waiting 20 minutes after my appointment time for him to then put someone else in his chair. Disrespectful and a waste of my time. If you don’t want to or don’t feel comfortable cutting caucasian hair and prefer to only serve African Americans that’s cool, but maybe make it known instead of just ignoring a customer. I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

I have been searching for a barbershop for almost two years. First time today and the experience will have me returning. If you are looking for a friendly environment, with professionalism and great work, then this is the place. Everyone employed greets you as soon as you come in. They break the ice with great conversation, while ensuring your needs are met along the way. Thank you Ms Sharrona for getting me together!!
