The Proper Barbershop

Wonderful haircut! One of the best I've ever had. We were visiting from out of town and I was able to be seen. Bryn suggested a new option for me and it turned out excellent!

Another excellent experience at The Proper Barbershop. This visit was with Angie, and she delivered a fantastic haircut. She listened carefully and executed exactly what I requested for both my hair and beard. We’re only in Hilton Head Island during the winter, and this is the only place I come for a cut. The team provides consistently great service, and the shop is always managed in a highly professional manner.

I've been a client here for a couple years now, and finally just have to say how awesome they are. A beautiful space, lively and fun conversation - and of course highly-skilled barbers! I've always been pleased with the results, they are consistent! And they make you feel so welcome it's almost like family. James runs a great shop, and everyone else is great too - Caylin (who I go to), Bryn, all of them! I know I will always leave not just with a great haircut, but with a smile, and usually at least one new restaurant or bar I just have to try!

James is awesome! His attention to detail and customer service is always appreciated! Entire shop is spotless. Complimentary beverages while you wait. My wife and I always look forward to going! Can not say enough about James and the shop! All I can say is if you are not going here you are doing yourself a major disservice!

I was in town for a wedding and needed a quality Barbershop. Was absolutely pumped to find this place – great location, staff were excellent, and a great haircut. Highly recommended. Master barbers are on staff and the apprentice barbers are great as well.
