Why can't the P&S report on news events happening on a daily basis in this county/town on their FB page? If anything happens in this town we have to hear about from Charleston media outlets. Not to mention a monkey gets loose basically right behind this newspaper's office, CNN picks up the story, news media all across the country pick up this story yet the local "news"paper NEVER reports anything whatsoever. Cover-up maybe? Owner paid off someone at the P&S to not run the story? And does this paper have no editor or proofreader? Week after week after week almost every article has a typo or grammatical error in it; from misspelled or missing words to outright incorrect grammar. I've read a lot of small town newspapers but this is about as next to nothing as it gets! It's mostly 12 pages of

P&S report everything that affects the county. For example, the staff are quick to report inclement weather which commonly affects lines of communication (i.e. movement of commerce). Furthermore, they accurately report sport stats, criminal activity, and fun events. However, they completely lack any ability to conduct serious analysis of events. For example, they will fully support any current politician (even when that politician makes stupid decisions and/or statements). I don't recommend this paper for anyone who is serious about reporting in Colleton County (i.e. crimes, drugs, political corruption, or business/job growth).

Good paper, liberal leaning but I don't think any media reports without bias. Overall a good read

Great group of folks to work with, if there are problems they work to resolve quickly

Worst so called "newspaper" I've ever read. The numerous and constant grammar mistakes are hilarious.
