Most of the "real" news comes from other sources like the NY Times, and other news services, not internally. Particularly bad are the inhouse columnists that show little in the way of in depth analysis seen with most serious journalists. The journalism skill displayed appears to be at the high school level - if that. Repetitive themes like "my trusty spreadsheet" dominant the writing of one prominent columnist who appears to be more concerned with having his name displayed rather than getting some better writing skills. Too many puff pieces, especially like the constant mentions of tourist spots like Disneyland - I can only assume a connection between advertising and coverage. High school papers show better skill sets than the OC Register.

Local reporting much better elsewhere. National is very poor quality,cherry picked from news services.Editorial page a disgrace to anyone with intellectual ability to appreciate the implications of the events of this time in history.
