The Nail-Box Salon

I usually go to VT and they do an awesome job. However, I was nearby and figured why not give it a go for a gel pedi. Big mistake. I went on my lunch break and after 2 and half hours I left with a broken toenail, and no polish since I couldn’t take any longer on my break to let her finish. Mind you almost the entirety of my time there was spent waiting for her to get my existing polish off…it was just standard gel polish.I wasn’t impressed by the way I was greeted it felt like no one wanted to do my service the lady even said “ I just ordered my Rio” when I told her I wanted a pedicure. There was people talking on speaker phone screaming, the workers talking about sex toys… it was overall a nightmare. Honestly, not a good experience. After THREE hours and $110 (what?), I came home with my nails like this. Asked for Chrome and got holographic. Asked for the square tipped acrylics and was told no. My nails are thick and gross. They don’t use drills, which they should over the acrylic at the very least. My nails were burning for most of it. Don’t have time or another salon to fix them before my trip. Pedicure was nice though, I will say. At this point, a refund is the only thing that could salvage any of this. In response to unprofessional reply from owner: $110 is not a lot, but it is when you are refused what you asked for and had the wrong thing put on. I mean the pictures speak for themselves. This was shoddy work. No one should leave with their nails looking like this. Owner insisted

Do happy I did decide to come in. We are traveling and I needed my nails redone and a pedicure. Amazing. Everyone was super friendly. And my nails are spot on. Thank you so much Leigh Ann.

Donna is FABULOUS with her work with my nails! She has done an amazing job with a really bad nail biter!!
