Val and her salon made my wedding day so special. I got married at the Chaminade resort in Sept 2025 and was really struggling to find a place to get hair and make up done for my bridal party in the area. After doing some research online, I found reviews from other brides on Reddit about Val and her salon and the amazing experience they had with her for their special day. After reaching out, I was able to set up a make up trial and met Val and her make up artist and I left feeling beautiful and it was a relief to know that Val and her team would make sure everything would take care of me and my bridal party. I visited The Last Resort as my last resort for my elopement wedding in September 2021, and I must say that I am beyond impressed with the quality of their services. As a South Asian bride, I was initially worried about finding a salon that understood my unique hair and makeup needs, but this salon exceeded all my expectations. The owner Valerie was able to schedule a hair & makeup trial a week before our wedding too. The staff was extremely welcoming and attentive from the moment I walked in. They took the time to understand my preferences and listened to all my concerns, making me feel confident that I was in good hands. I have been going to The Last Resort Salon and Spa since they opened several years ago. I love the intimate setting and really enjoy working with Val to come up with hairstyles and color that best suit me. Val is extremely talented and always listens to me and what I want but will also give me her honest opinion. I would not trust my hair to anyone else. I get so many compliments on my hair and am always telling people to go see her. I have also used their facial and waxing services and have been happy with the results. I was lucky enough to find Val, the owner of The Last Resort through a recommendation at Jury Duty! She saw me at an inconvenient time and did an amazing job on the color of my hair! I had gone to a few people who didn’t really help my hair- it was damaged and breaking off- Val gave me a super conditioning and got my hair back in shape. I love the color she gave me- the last person put a lot of red in the color, which translated into Brassy for me. She also fixed an uneven cut I recently got. If you’re looking for miracles, Val is the the one you need to see! And she’s so entertaining- great stories and a really smart, sweet woman!

Val fixed a bad haircut I got elsewhere and she did it as if it she had been had been responsible! She wanted me to feel as good about it as possible. Went back for color and waxing... she is incredibly talented and kind.
