The Kress Building

Serra Doce coffee shop is a very wonderful place to sip on coffee or tea while visiting with friends or family or playing a game of chess or making plans for your visit to Daytona. The atmosphere is very welcoming as well as the staff. They are sweet and very informative on coffee beans. I was able to meet one of the owners and was very pleased with her demeanor and welcoming character. Thank you for opening this coffee shop tucked away right next to McKay's off of Beach Street. It is what Beach Street has needed for a while!

Small office building with historical charm and displays. Very clean, safe, and easy to find your way around / navigate. Very nice place !!

I loved the authentic revamped vibe of this historic building. Before walking through the front doors, the history of this beautiful locale was showcased in the architectural details on the exterior and found in treasured items showcased in the beautiful curved glass storefronts. Upon entering inside, that charm was carried through the entire building. It’s evident that there was so much care and attention to detail while renovating this building and it was seen in all areas of the Korea’s Building. I loved that they made sure to maintain those beautiful details throughout, and the view to the water was the icing on the cake. The only area that felt like they missed the mark was the elevator; it was so generic and plain inside. A map or print would’ve done wonders on the paneling inside.

Folks this is a little slice of ingenuity. Beautifully designed building! And it's, "shared space"!! The Kress Building was constructed in 1932, and stands testament to the beauty found in our everyday travels, often missed by the casual observer. If you haven't had the opportunity to casually observe this little gem, what in the heck are you waiting on??!! Consider this an invite and getcha soMe!! ✌😁✌
