Elyse has been styling my hair for years, and it always looks awesome simply air dried from day 1 in addition to growing out gracefully for months. Even though I don’t need to cut it as often as I do bc she’s a damn hair wizard, I enjoy changing up frequently which only highlights her versatility in her craft. Hanging out with Elyse is always a good time, and there’s no one I trust more to bring out the best in my hair’s natural texture. Thanks, bae. You da best.

One of the best haircuts I have received in a long time. Elyse is so knowledgeable about hair! Before we got started on the cut, we talked through things that my hair needed and what her recommendations were. I really felt like the haircut was tailored to my specific needs. I left feeling so confident and happy about my haircut. The shop is such a vibe, great jewelry, especially the earrings, and such fun art all around! I will definitely be going back!

Elyse was fantastic! I needed a cut and something to add vibrancy to my hair. I love my haircut, and Elyse was very patient in walking me through the cut, her suggestions for styling, and a bunch of questions that I had about hair care in general. Absolutely recommend, and I'll be back for my next cut! I also visited Elyse before when she was at a different salon. I liked the location and vibe of the Hush-Hush Hair Shop much better. It's very cute, and worth the 10 min drive outside Athens.

elyse is amazing!! she’s extremely kind, and welcoming. i didn’t have a good base picture but within minutes she was able to find exactly what i was picturing. this is the best cut/styling i’ve ever had and definitely the quickest too! i honestly couldn’t see myself getting my hair done anywhere but hush hush now. thank you so much!

5 stars, no question. if you want a stylist who knows exactly what you want, AND knows how to cut alternative hair? elyse took a feather razor to my hair and in 20 minutes i was an entirely different person. even though it was a low maintenance cut, they showed me how to style it for extra flair, talked about what it’d look like in 6/12 months, showed me how to trim the look on my own, and made wonderful casual conversation that didn’t feel forced. i adored the shop’s vibe, their personality, and would happily dish out the $20 extra for hush hush, instead of another salon where i’d leave unhappy with the same wishes. i’d include a photo if i wasn’t writing this in bed. i bet my hair will look great in 20 minutes though thanks to elyse’s work! :)
