The Hair kitchen

I'm giving a 3 based on all my experiences here over the years, which is a lot. The stylists are very friendly, the cuts are usually good. This recent one though is very unfortunate. The stylist was very sweet as they usually are so there's nothing wrong at all with that. When I'm spending $22 (plus $5 for tip) for a basic haircut, honestly, it couldn't get more basic, I just wanted my daughters hair EVEN length so I could put a simple braid in her hair, then I expect the hair to be cut even all the way around. It took around 45 minutes for the trim..not even an actual hair cut and it came out more uneven than when we came in. I couldn't even send her to school with the braid she wanted, which was the whole point of the trim in the first place.

Mehgan, very un perfection and dishonest. bait and switch. The shop has deal every each day. She didn’t honor the price. Will find any excuse to pump up the charges. I had asked three times about the price before we started. Or I can just walk out and have it done in other places. And I should had. Because, after. Beside she did not deliver what I want. She even changed me more than what should be. I asked for waved hair perm, and she keeps telling me it will not hold. And I told her it is okay. I only want it wavy so many times, I only want it wavy!! the only reason is she never had done it with bigger rolls. If you are unsure or unable to. Why you do my hair and change me extra? You can turn me down and I will not have to deal with what I have now. Unhappy customer!!!

My daughter got her hair dyed, highlighted, tinseled, and cut by Meghan and she did an AMAZING JOB!!!! It came out perfectly and she stayed super late past closing time even, to finish the job!!!! My daughter is super happy with how it turned out!!!!

Last month I was in need of “the works” - haircut, perm and styling - but when my longtime stylist retired I was at a loss where to go. I was shopping at the mall and decided to stop in at the Hair Kitchen and take a chance and, with a stroke of luck, I was introduced to Meghan! She actually listened to me, gave me the best haircut, perm and style that I’ve had in years! I have been going back weekly and am so happy with my new “do!” I have been stopped numerous times while shopping by women who say, “I love your hair!” I always tell them that actually I have terrible hair and that the kudos belong to Meghan at the Hair Kitchen!!!! Ask for Meghan you will not be disappointed - she is not only a talented stylist she is very sweet and personable young lady!!

After moving to the area I was desperate to find a hair stylist who I could trust and be my go-to stylist & I found that at the Hair Kitchen with Meghan. She is just phenomenal! Excellent at her craft, friendly, & not afraid of a challenge! 10/10 recommend
