The Gentleman’s Barbershop

Hands down the best barber shop not only in Meriden, but in surrounding towns as well! I know because I’ve tried most. It was hard to find a place that could consistently cut (with scissors) and fade my boys hair perfectly every time. After trying about 10 different shops, I walked into the gentleman’s barber shop hoping for better and I was not let down! That was about 2 years ago and we still go there. Ed is great with my boys and their hair always comes out amazing.

I have been a customer of Ed’s for years. I followed where he went. Always a great cut, every single time. Comfortable atmosphere in the shop. A great neighborhood feel with great conversation. I’ve seen Ed give a lot of haircuts over the years and I’ve never seen a bad one. I highly recommend Ed!

The owner of this place couldn’t be kinder, more professional, or more talented. We move around a lot for my husband’s job, so we’ve visited barbershops all over, and my husband always says there are only two barbers in the country he would trust to cut his hair right, and Ed is #1. Always support businesses run by genuinely good people! Ed’s place is a vibe.

Hands down one of the best haircuts I have gotten in a long time and I’m not sure it’s close. Ed the Barber just gained a consistent customer. I went around 10AM on a Tuesday and was able to walk in with no wait which was ideal. (Ed also says he takes appointments which is convenient.) The shop was clean, tidy and warm, calm and quiet. The cut was done efficiently and clean. Not too many barbers around that use hot lather and a straight razor to make sure when you say “high and tight” that it’s “tight.” Very fair pricing great value for what you get. Do yourself a favor and get your haircuts here.
