The Garage Cuts and Coffee

The vibe is amazing but my stylist seemed very unprofessional, despite her “20+ years of experience.” After the cut, which I had left her to decide what to do with, I asked which side the haircut (which is clearly meant to be parted) should be parted to. She replied with “Oh I do all of my haircuts symmetrically so don’t worry about that.” I’m sorry… but that’s not how you cut hair. If I do come back here, which I might just for the amazing coffee, it will not be with that stylist.

My first time here, I was given great recommendation for my hair style by Corine which is why exactly I chose this place, I am glad I did! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Lovely atmosphere. If you have kids, I am sure they would love this place.

Stumped about this place and would give it a 5+ stars for coffee and vibes. On a whim I decided to get a haircut as they had immediate availability. I had very long hair and had a picture of my desired result which I was told was achievable. I told my stylist even if it doesn’t look like the picture, it’s totally okay as long as I can put it in a ponytail. It’s been 3 months and I can barely get it in a pony. There is one random VERY short chunk that drives me crazy. Went to another place and was told “I don’t know what she was doing” and to wait for it to grow out more before correcting. Highly recd for coffee but not for women’s cuts.

What a wonderful, unique space! Yes, it is both a barber shop AND cafe! Both indoor and outdoor seating, on easy to access but quiet Ann Arbor Rd with a small park nearby. The coffee was great, service was super. I'm so excited to have another coffee shop in walking distance. And my husband was looking for a new place to get his hair cut, so he'll be trying that out soon.

My mom and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, John who was so welcoming and sweet! He told us about his experience in coffee, the hospitality industry, and his dedication to using small businesses when he can! I believe he mentioned that the coffee is roasted by a father and son duo right here in Michigan! The place has such a cool vibe and has a ton of different options for coffee lovers! This place also has plenty of non-dairy options including Hemp Milk which I had never tried until today but it was SO good! You definitely have to check this place out!
