The Daily Times

Most of the locally written pieces read like paid advertisements without attribution. Mayberry sounding wholesomeness which is clearly in service of multiple sales processes, real estate, tourism, and Blount Chamber Partnership. The rest is either syndicated pap or the AP. Fine if you prefer obvious rigging and illussions of utopia driven by ubiquitous nonprofit reach arounds.

Since the Daily Times went to delivery by the Post Office many many times the paper has and is not delivered, once or twice every week. We usually don't get the paper or mail till after 6pm so we can't get anyone if at all until the next day. Very dissatisfied! Happened Saturday, none delivered at all after leaving a message. Happened again Wednesday, still no Wednesday paper and I did actually talk to a person. CANNOT RECOMMEND

I sincerely enjoyed my hometown paper but sadly I canceled my subscription today. I can not support any paper that gives a voice to people like Mark Pullium. I've enjoyed the differing opinions and beliefs in our paper but I draw the line at the extremist views of people like Pullium. Mr. Pullium works overtime planting seeds of hatred and division in our community targeting our homeless, our minorities, our long standing small businesses, our public library and even the very newspaper that now publishes his tired rants. I have yet to see anything this man gives back to his community while he tears apart the very people who work tirelessly to make a positive difference. I will miss the Daily Times but I can not in good faith contribute to a newspaper who gives voice to someone actively try

Please look up the definition of journalism and then do your job like one. Consistently writes articles one-sided and never gives you the facts, but instead feeds you with their opinion and agenda. Poor excuse for a newspaper.

I've been taking the daily times for 15 Years. I have a problem with my local paper spreading propaganda and hatred . I'll be Very direct , the editorial from Parker Benson in your Friday the 16th paper is not only propaganda and lies it is dangerous!! The papers disclaimer that this is not necessarily their opinion helps nothing and does not exonerate them from responsibility. Yes people do have difference of opinions and I am fine with that and I am fine with it being printed. However this is not simply a case of difference of opinions this is dangerous Ranting. These are dangerous times indeed and the pen and print is a mighty weapon. To give voice to this kind of bigotry is sloppy and sensationalism. Sincerely Bridget Mcnew
