The Braiding Palace

Yesterday I went to this braiding place at 6:30 a.m. asking for 6 stitch braids. I was told my hair was too short and that I needed 8 instead, which I agreed to. A braider came from the back—she was nice, but the way she parted my hair made the braids look a complete mess. She was extremely slow and kept redoing the same braids over and over. By 10:30 a.m., she was only on my 7th braid. I stood up and asked her to actually look at my hair, thinking maybe the style just wasn’t right for my hair type or length. She immediately got up and sat back down looking frustrated, like she’d been working since 6:30 and I had no right to speak up. I calmly said maybe the style wasn’t good for my hair and asked to switch to jumbo knotless braids, 3x3, mid-back length. She said okay and that someone els

came in less than a week ago to get crochet hair installed, and it was clear that the stylist did not know what she was doing. Someone else in the shop had to continuously tell her what to do throughout the service. I called to have the work fixed and was told the shop was too busy. I called again on Monday and couldn’t get through. The fact that I reached out on Friday to correct an issue and still wasn’t accommodated is bad business. My hair should never have been left looking like this. It is so poorly done that I now have to take it out completely, which means I wasted both my time and my money. If a stylist does not know how to properly perform a service, that should be communicated upfront instead of providing poor-quality work. So now the hair has to be cut out so that's wasted

I had the best experience here at the braiding palace today, originally I had an appointment elsewhere but they never showed up. I called the braiding palace and they took me in right away. I was the first person in the shop but as people were rolling in the ladies took turns servicing everyone. I had someone’s hands in my hair the entire time I was in the chair. They were all very polite and the environment is very inviting. My favorite part is that they played Christian music which only added to my comfort. Me loving my hair is just the cherry on top, I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you braiding palace!

I have been here multiple times, and I will continue to come back! My hair always looks amazing when I leave, and it continues to look nice after one and a half to two months! I highly recommend Braiding Palace to anyone who wants to get QUALITY braids done in the Glen Burnie, Bowie or Baltimore areas!

I got knotless boho braids done by Caroline and Mirabelle and my service was professional, quick and came out amazing! I made an appointment for 5am and Caroline was already there waiting before I got there and immediately made sure pricing was clear by showing me a book with the price for different lengths/widths up front. The shop itself was bright and clean. The ladies were so nice the entire time and kept checking to make sure I was comfortable and happy with how it was looking. I left very happy and will definitely be back!
