Ok yall I'm just saying yall can not sleep on the The Body shop Day Spa and Boutitque Hair Salon in Deridder Louisiana. To day was the first time in 3 or 4 years since I have had anything done to my hair. My parents got me a gift card for Christmas. Well needless to say I definitely will be going back. The atmosphere was great. My stylist name was Posey. She absolutely did an amazing job on my hair. I was nevers about what to do and told her I'm not picky. She talked me through what she had in mind and it sounded great. Well great can not even begin to describe how amazing she did. She knew just how to cut it to frame my face and yall the highlights and lowlights she did just brought my hair back to life. It has volume, that was not there anymore lol. Yall definitely need to go check her
Nicole is my #1 gal at the body shop day spa & boutique! Shes always got a friendly smile and makes me feel welcome, important and relaxed! She really takes the time to make sure she does her job right! We always laugh together, talk about our family and she always seems interested in what you have to say! Even when i don’t come in for a service but to just shop around nicole always acknowledges my presence! I wont ever stray away from this amazing space and am so fortunate to have found a wonderful person like her to take care of me!
I’m a 50-year-old offshore worker, which basically means my body is 30% WD-40 and 70% bad decisions. To be honest, I was hesitant about the whole massage thing—I’m more used to heavy machinery than 'healing hands.' I walked into the shop feeling like a rusted-out relic, convinced that my back pain was just a permanent personality trait. Then I met Jennifer. I don’t know if she’s a massage therapist or a structural engineer, but she found knots in my shoulders that have been there since the Clinton administration. I went in expecting to be poked and prodded; I left feeling like I’d been dismantled and put back together with brand-new parts. If you’re a skeptic like I was, do yourself a favor: go see Jennifer. She’s the only person who’s managed to make me feel less like a 'cranky piece o
May I say Jennifer Weldon is the BEST massage therapist I have had EVER. I was reluctant to go yet she encouraged me and listened to everything I had to say about my prior experiences. I had a horrible experience 5 years prior receiving a massage and could barely walk 1 week after. Hence, the reason I not getting one. I mentioned to the previous therapist during the massage areas they were touching/massaging were very tender yet they kept doing the massage. I knew the next day was not going to be good. I got up from the table and I was sore. REALLY, sore after a massage. I should have felt BETTER. This was not the experience with Jennifer. She listened to me prior and throughout the whole process. Her professionalism is beyond compare as she listens and gets to know her clients. Sh
Before the cut, I felt as if I was treated as a body and not a client. She was adamant about not wanting to cut my hair, stating absolutely not, until she saw what she was going to be working with. Why did my hair cut matter? Why did my gender matter? I didn't understand. I felt very upset by the experience. It was joked about that having more hair to cut meant more money, and it made me wonder if I was even worth the time. I felt akin to a number, not a person. A sale and not a human. I can understand preference, but it could've been stated that no more walk ins were available for the day. I would've simply left and gone somewhere else. I will not be returning, despite the fact I've come here on and off for a few years now. I am dissatisfied.
