The Beauty Loft Hair Salon

I came in for a partial highlight with a stylist at the Beauty Loft. After the foils were completed, I went under the heat lamp. The stylist then applied toner, and once my hair was dried, it turned a dark pink color. She used “Fix It” and rewashed my hair, but after drying again, it still appeared light pink. She used “Fix It” a second time and chose not to reapply toner afterward. I also mentioned to her that my regular stylist does not typically use toner on my hair. This stylist has done my daughter’s hair for quite some time without any issues, so I’m unsure what went wrong this time. Kyla is very sweet, but I left disappointed. Parking was difficult, my haircut started dry because the wash bowls weren’t available, and when I did get a wash it felt rushed and incomplete. The cut itself wasn’t checked carefully and ended up uneven. Didn’t even offer a mirror to see the back of my hair, she offered to take a pic!The pricing was also confusing — I expected 30% off, but still paid $45 for what was basically a simple bob cut. $75 is a bit much for Callahan, this isn’t New York. For comparison, I’ve had the same quality cut at a beauty school in Jax for $20. Just a heads-up: ask about pricing and what’s included before booking and the skill level of the stylist.

Jennie did my hair and it was phenomenal. I have fragile blonde hair and am always worried about damage (previous experiences). She knocked it out of the park.
