I LOVE EVERY FREAKIN THING about this salon! It’s smells amazing. It’s peaceful. It’s like an upscale spa that you would find in a bigger city. Serena has been doing my hair for almost two decades now and I always get stopped and asked who does my hair? She keeps it beautiful and healthy. She’s been doing it so long that I don’t even need to tell her what I’m wanting. I just tell her to make it good and she does it Every. Single. Time! Truly a master at what she does.

I’ve been seeing Joy since before the Beauty Factory was around, but I’m so happy she’s there now! Joy is brilliant with curly hair! No wonder she is always packed. I’ve never been unhappy with a cut or color and she’s taught me so much about how to care for my curls. Plus she’s fun to chat with and it’s always a relaxing experience. I love the Beauty Factory too! Always such a calm experience, and I appreciate that they schedule only specific appointment times, so it never seems busy, and you can count on them being ready for you at your appointment time! I just love the atmosphere!

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with The Beauty Factory. They have a very thorough vetting process where everything about how their salon is run is said upfront when you fill out an application for a specific stylist. Instructions for when to arrive, where to park, where to sit in the salon if you arrive early, etc. As a person with social anxiety, this was very helpful for me to know where to go before my first visit for my consultation. I've been going to see Joy for almost 2 years now, and I've learned more than I ever thought I could about my curly hair. Joy is The. Best. Curly hair specialist I have ever seen. I’m in that awkward aging/texture/color change stage of my hair’s life and Joy is so patient and knowledgeable with me. I finally have products I feel comfortable using that work with my texture and weight of hair, and every time I forget or need a refresher on method, she shows me again. Beauty Factory is also my ideal salon. The quiet phone policy means it’s peaceful and relaxing, the schedule and consult ahead-of-time policy means there’s no phone ringing and you’re matched with a stylist that fits *you* and your hair, and they respect you enough to want someone that matches what you want done. I will stick to this place, and Joy, as long as I possibly can. They are worth every penny, and then some.

I have been going to Joy for about two years now and literally cannot imagine my life without her! I had struggled with how to style, wash, dry, and just plain manage my curly hair appropriately all my life. The internet was no help because every “curly girl” routine is so different and it’s confusing to know who to actually take advice from. I had never even been to a salon that fixed my hair at the end of the cut where I didn’t have to immediately go home and fix it myself.
