I have been going to Melissa since I moved to Austin in the early 2000’s. She is an artist! I am so lucky to have found her, I never thought I’d find someone as good as my person in Houston, but Melissa is better! My hair looks amazing and she is quick and efficient. My daughters also go to Melissa (since their first haircut) and they would NEVER allow anyone else to touch their hair. Melissa @The Beauty Bar Salon is the best- go see her asap!

I love, love Melissa's ability to cut & style hair! I've been going to her for over a decade. Over the years, I've learned that there are those who can cut hair; those who can style to give it shape; and then there are those who are artists. Melissa is definitely an expert artist. She not only understands all types of hair and color, she can visualize the best fashionable cut, colors, and approach to take. I have been going to the Beauty Bar Salon fair over 20 years now. Melissa is so easy to talk with and she listens to what you want and if you don’t know, she will give suggestions if asked. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and you never feel uncomfortable. I Highly recommend her!

Melissa has been my permanent hair stylist since fall 2008 and I have never been happier. She takes her time and listens to what I want (color and/or cut) and then we talk through it before she begins. She knows what I do like and what I definitely do not like, so I always trust her recommendations.. In the 17 years that I have been going to her, I have only had ONE color that I didn’t like (it was something I asked her to do) and when I called her 2 days later to tell her, she was more than happy to fix it. As much as I love her as my stylist, I adore her even more as a person. You won’t find someone that is as friendly and as personable as she is.
