The Barbery

First time at the Barbery today. LD was super nice and cut my hair just the way I wanted. This place is a hidden gem!

This place offers full shaves, Great haircuts from licensed Barbers and Stylist and such a great experience. Not to mention you can get you shoes shined here while you shop inside the newly designed jcpenny.

A hidden gem in the Mid Cities. L.D. is a magician with hair; I almost want to keep him a secret so he doesn’t become too popular, but that wouldn’t be fair to him! His skills need to be seen to be believed. He’s a master of multiple hair textures and styles and provides a true old school barbershop experience. Highly recommended for all hair types and people young and old! Just be sure to call ahead to make sure there’s availability! I suspect as time goes on L.D. will be in even higher and higher demand.

I debated whether or not to even share this experience, because it was the first of many at the Barbery that was negative. I only work with Joey and scheduled for a noon slot with him this past Tuesday. When I arrived at about 11:50 to check in I was informed that he was in the middle of doing a color and would be awhile, Joey suggested I let the girl behind the counter take care of me. I assumed, because of my experience with Joey, that he wouldn't knowingly mislead me to a stylist who wasn't up to par. The girl, who had a blue pixie haircut, did not listen to me when I explained the look I was going for ( a low-mid 3 fade, thus leaving the length I had finally achieved, high up the side.) As I explained what I wanted she checked her phone and clearly only heard 3 guard and sides, she too

Joey is one of the best in the business. Take it from someone that is really hard to please when it comes to cuts/shaves. His attention to detail is impeccable and he just “gets it”. My cuts are so good, I find myself checking my hair out in almost every reflective surface I pass. Don’t sleep on Joey & The Barbery.
