The Barbers Notch

I had a really great experience with Drew over at Barber’s Notch in Olympia. The guy clearly takes real pride in what he does. From the moment I knew he was legit and cared about getting the cut right, not just rushing through another appointment. We talked about everything from Metal to AI, to the state of the world… there is no topic untouchable with him. end result!!! The cut is clean as hell. The fade is smooth, the top has good shape to it, and the whole thing just looks natural and sharp while staying dapper. Vibe in the shop is great. Easy conversation, relaxed environment, and the whole thing felt professional without being stiff. Very curated experience. Bring some beers and hang out!! The service was absolutely worth the money. My fiancé got his hair cut a few days before our wedding, and the experience was so pampering — it really helped relieve a lot of pre-wedding stress. Jason was friendly, welcoming, and kept great conversation while still making the appointment feel calm and relaxing. He did a razor fade and beard trim that came out clean and still has my now husband- looking sharp. The atmosphere has a cool, classic men’s vibe that adds to the whole experience. We couldn’t have asked for better service before such a special day!

Jason is a great barber. He was very personable , easy to talk to and patient. He took the time to make sure that we were on the same page before he got started . He made some suggestions on the cut to ensure the hair grows up evenly. I never remember how to explain what I want, he made notes on the file so that he remember what we did . I definitely will be going back to Jason . The barbershop was very chill vibe. All the customers and other barbers were very laid back . This barbershop also sells some good styling products. I used to use suavecito, but It has not been working out for me lately. I had an appointment for a beard trim and haircut with Drew. There was a power outage that affected the shop. Drew had good communication. He contacted me about the outage and rescheduled me to later that afternoon. Start to finish, it was a GREAT experience. It was my first time in the shop. Really cool atmosphere. Awesome music. Comfy waiting area with big leather couch and chairs. Friendly, funny banter between the barbers created a nice vibe. Drew was super skilled, helping me decide on my cut/beard trim, then executing it. From the products being applied, to the hot towel, to the scissoring, to the clipping, to the straight razoring, I saw/experienced an artist perform their craft, close-up. I’ve been coming here since last year. This was recommend by a friend. The men who work in this barber shop are great! They are family men. These men have respect for those around them. I see a few reviews here that are absolutely not even close to what goes on in the barber shop. I am absolutely comfortable allowing these guys to cut my 4 year old son’s hair. If you are reading this, don’t allow a few bad faith reviews away you from coming here. Ben, Micho and Jason will welcome you no matter who you are
