If you want any highlights or lowlights I recommend asking for Callie Stillings! I was honestly debating on getting any color added to my hair because I didn’t want to hurt it, especially with bleaching. Thanks to Callie I was able to try something new and do it safely. Not to mention I love my new hair! Every time I go back I make sure to book with her and I leave an extra tip because of how great my experience is with her. It’s genuinely important to her that you look good. She never rushes what she’s doing, even if she’s really booked that day. Callie is a very knowledgeable and talented young women and I would recommend her to anyone!

When I walked in 2 girls were complaining about who I was there to see. When I told them the girl laughed at the one who I was there to see like haha she's yours. I was there for a wash/style for an event I had that night. She was very nice and talkative! She washed my hair very well too. She put way too much product in my hair before drying. I told her exactly what I wanted my curls to look like. She said ok. They weren't tight and all fell out by the time I got home! I spent an hour rewashing and curling it cuz it felt soooo dirty from all the product. Waste of $! I feel like any stylist that's gone through school should be able to curl hair property!

Kathy Darrough is the best! Despite now living further out of town, I will drive any distance to have Kathy cut or perm my hair. Since discovering Kathy when walking into nearby salon over 10 years ago, I have followed her wherever her vast experience has taken her! She is now an independent stylist at Back-Porch, but previously successfully managed several big chain locations. While doing my hair, other stylists are always asking her advice. Despite being just a great person, Kathy is conscientious and kind while listening well to what the customer needs and then delivering. Such a great lady who I recommend to everyone! I am new to the area and needed to find a new hairstylist. I came across Back Porch Salon. I was in such a rush to get my hair done so I went with the first available, Makayla. Sometimes that could seem a little iffy. One would think their availability being so open is a little suspicious- BUT IT WASNT- AT ALL! When I got there she was very welcoming and had a beautiful vibe. She sat me down, asked what I wanted, I showed her a pic and she got to work from there. She was very attentive to the details, asked me so many questions to make sure I ended up with what I wanted.
