I’ve been going to Mackenzie for a few years now and cannot recommend her enough. She’s the first hairstylist I’ve had that will actually sit with you, understand what you’re trying to achieve, and explain how to achieve that. She will also let you know realistically how best to achieve what you’re looking for based on your actual hair and also give you advice on the potential risks. She truly takes the time to make sure what she’s going to do is what’s best for your hair and best for achieving the results you’re looking for. I feel like I’ve learned more about my hair since going to her than I’ve ever known before.

Would not recommend. They did not cover my grays and did not cut my hair well, with little consultation. I also came in wanting something very specific and they made me feel very embarrassed for wanting it and convinced me to get a streaky look that is not what I wanted. They did offer to fix the grey coverage and my cut but I did not feel comfortable going back when I spent close to $500 for a shotty job. I should have spoke up more during the appt and that is on me. I would only recommend going if you are able to speak up even when you feel embarrassed and strongly advocate for what you want but you may regret it.

For my first experience at the Artist Haus, I was not impressed. I had mentioned on the phone that my hair often takes ample amounts of time, since it's thick and long, however I don't think they took me seriously. I was a new client, they did not know my hair, and had scheduled maybe at least 8+ clients while I was getting my hair cut and colored. I was nervous when the assistant kept checking my foils and didn't know where to start with the removal of the foils - not a good sign. I didn't get my hair blown out, because I was afraid of the cost, as I'm pretty sure it's NOT included in the price of a haircut. So, when I get home, I realized my hair was butchered. Gabby is my go to hairstylist. She has been taking care of my hair for the past 3 years and she has made my hair so much better since then. It has shaped my whole look as well. Gabby understands the right style for you and is always open to trying new hair style as well. She will be honest with you as well to make sure your hair is healthy at the end of the day. It’s always so fun going to her because we would come up with fun hair ideas. She is very easy to get along and make you feel comfortable and beautiful!! I love chatting with her during my appointment. Here are some of the awesome balayage and fun hair colors I have gotten done from her.

Everything about this salon is wonderful!! Mackenzie is an amazing stylist who really took the time to help me figure out my hair type, as well as a cut and care routine that genuinely works for me. She really cares about her work and clients and it definitely shows. The space itself is beautiful (plant lovers will feel right at home) and everyone on staff is super friendly. Scheduling is a breeze as well, couldn’t ask for more, highly recommend!
