This is a black hair salon. I have been cokong to Alia for 5 years and she's the best. I get a silk press or a wash and curl. She is good about scalp health and not using too much heat. The products she uses smell amazing. She is punctual and doesn't leave you under the dryer for hours. She has weekend hours if you're not able to get away during the work week. The salon is also very pretty with lots of sunlight and windows. Free parking.

When I moved to chicago, i had uneven dyed hair and it was so hard to find a stylist that wouldn’t judge me. Alia was the ONLY stylist that not only got me to my goals but was super sweet and kind to me throughout my hair journey. I came weekly and she was always SUPER QUICK and super organized. Her silk presses are out of this world and her color jobs are even better. She will always be my number one choice to go to and i have been going to her for years 🥰 I always recommend everyone i know moving to chicago to go to her because these other stylists are very nasty when it comes to fixing hair but Alia was an absolute sweetheart and that’s why i will always continue coming to her

This is a beautiful salon. Very clean and welcoming. The stylists are Black women and I appreciated how diverse it was from the stylist and clients of different ages and gender. However, I’m rating this place two stars because of the quality of work that was done on me. I booked with Tanesha aka Juju for a braid style and I took it down the next morning. To start, she didn’t start braiding my hair until two hours after my appointment time. Secondly, I booked small cornrows. The braids started small and neat in the front but was extremely sloppy from the middle to the back. Mind you, I was 38 weeks pregnant and intended on wearing this style for postpartum. I highly regret spending $195 on this style with tip included. I wasn’t able to get a good look at the back of my head at the salon

This is the worse hair service I’ve ever experienced, and that’s saying a lot coming from a senior citizen. The person responsible for the service that wasn’t completed gave me a wonderful shampoo, conditioner, escorted me to her chair, added whatever to my hair and scalp, began twisting my wet hair and disappeared. She was gone so long I dozed off freezing in an air conditioned shop with a head of wet hair. Seriously, she didn’t even cover my wet head. I woke up, still freezing, throat scratchy, top of my head is now completely dry from the air conditioning blowing. I looked around and saw no sign of that person. I waited a few more minutes, texted a friend, went outside to warm up and decided to secure a Lyft and go home, wet hair, scratchy throat and deflated spirit. Hopefully, I
