Lovely experience today for my 1st time client appt! It was such a warm and welcoming space, my stylist Sarah was so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She made it feel like I was getting my hair done with a friend. I was pampered the entire appointment- Will definitely be back soon! 😊

I got my hair cut by Hannah and it was genuinely the best salon experience I’ve ever had. The consultation was very thorough, Hannah was so thoughtful and made sure to keep things realistic for my hair type and lifestyle without seeming like she was steering me away from the haircut I originally wanted. We ended up deciding on something with a similar style that she customized to work better for me I’m so happy with the result!! The haircut also included a relaxing hair treatment and they had the most comfortable sinks I’ve ever had my hair washed in, the sinks fully support your head and neck so getting your hair washed is actually enjoyable! The salon atmosphere was so peaceful and welcoming too.

Had my first curly cut at Alchemists Salon + Apothecary and have nothing but glowing reviews. The space is beautiful from the moment you walk in, so welcoming, and during my very short wait I was offered beverages and invited to check out free merch/stickers tailored to each of the stylists. Kayla did my curly cut and walked through every step of the process, explaining how certain cuts/lengths/layering styles affect the shape of curly hair. As someone with some pretty intense chair anxiety, it was so helpful to hear the process in real time. We went through all of the products I currently use and Kayla walked me through which are helping my hair and which may be contributing to damage, and I left with great recommendations. I should start by saying my relationship with my hair has always been complicated, both in how it has represented my identity and how unmanageable it can be (she’s thicc). At one point I even buzzed it. I got my hair cut by Kayla recently and I feel like my hair is finally living up to its potential and doing what it should’ve been doing all along! I’m so happy with my cut. On top of this, The Alchemist Salon is a queer owned and operated facility, making it a safe haven during a time where the safety of the community is being challenged each moment. Nice salon but Kayla seems to cut short straight across bangs on people who only wanted curtain bangs … this happened to me and two other people I’ve happened to meet since. I was shocked when she cut short bangs across instead of curtain bangs like we had discussed. It wasn’t what I wanted but they turned ended up looking cute, just a lot more maintenance. The other girls cuts were awful, I felt bad for them
