Tenin African Hair Braiding

Miriam and another lady have been doing my hair for years. My daughter has been twice now! The parts the finishing touches. Worth every $$$. They do great work. Just be prepared to be there for a while. And you see how much hair my daughter has.

This was one of the best braid shops I’ve ever experienced. They made my daughter feel special and beautiful. The parting system was artistic and intricate. I will continue to come to this shop for my daughter’s hair!!

First visit today and the owner did my hair. I will say she does a great job. I am very pleased with my hair. My overall experience could have been better had she not stopped so much to talk and entertain. I won’t let that deter me from returning because like I said her work is great. I was just getting rather concerned about the time because I know I had to get home to my daughter before her dad left for work. I’ll go earlier next time in case this happens again. If she could work on focusing on the client I would definitely give 5 stars.

On April 18 2021, I made an appointment to get my hair done for the next day (April 19) at 11:00 am which is today. I called earlier around 9:30 which was when the salon opens, and there was no answer. I get a call back almost an hour later (around 10) and she moves my appointment back and tells me to get come in at 12. Also when she answered the phone she sounded like she was still sleep on the phone. So I drive up there and wait almost an hour for her to show up, I also saw other clients waiting at the door too but she was still not there. It was almost 12 and she still didn’t show up so I call 3 times and still no answer so I wait a little while longer then I left and cane back home. I’ve been to this braiding shop multiple times and had my hair done by the owner Ms Tenin with no issues. However in order to get knotless braids her daughter would have to do them. So my niece and I arrive for her appointment and the daughter starts changing the price that was previously quoted the day before. Within 5 minutes the price went from $200 to $240. On top of that I’m being told that I have to pay before the service is rendered due to previous customers stealing. I explained that I’ve never had to do that before and that I’ve never stole anything. After realizing that the daughter was unprofessional I asked to speak with Ms Tenin the owner.
