Once I found Key, I haven’t let another barber in NYC cut my hair.

Key has been cutting my hair for about two years and I can honestly say she is the best stylist I have experienced in my entire life. Her intricate skillset goes beyond giving you a “good haircut.” She has skincare treatments that will make your skin look healthier and more vibrant, she gives AMAZING skincare and grooming advice and creates a barbershop vibe that makes me feel like I’m at a family gathering. T’keya’s service will not only make you look good, but will leave you with a lifted spirit and mood like you spent a day at the spa! T’keya is a blessing and I highly recommend.

I have been going here since 2024. Best barber I have had in my 35 years on the earth. Reasonable price, professional quality, and overall good vibes. I take this drive from LI to BK with no issues. Totally worth it

Let me start by saying Key does great work if you make it into her chair but she’s unprofessional and rude. I scheduled an appointment with her 2 days before a wedding so I could have a fresh style and cut. I live in Harlem and commuted over an hour to be on time for our 10am appointment. At 9:55am she texted me saying she was 45 minutes late. When I asked for compensation (reduced price) she told me she was actually an hour away and wasn’t responsible for holding me back for anything and that we should reschedule. Eventually she offered a complimentary water and lunch, when I didn’t accept she also offered $25 off my style (less than 10% of the cost of my requested service). Online booking is supposed to make the experience smooth for both the customer and the sevice provider but that only works if the provider sticks to their own schedule. Booked with the owner Key. When I came for my appointment she had to be called to come to the shop and this is not the first time this happened. The price online was different than the price given in the shop. Booked another appointment and was made to wait for an HOUR before leaving. There were several other barbers in the shop. She came and cut another person's hair who came in after us and NEVER acknowledged that we were waiting. In order to run a successful business you need more than talent you also need customer service which is nonexistent here unless you are friends with the staff.
