Tart's Barber Shop of Cary

This establishment no longer exists. Stopped by for a haircut. The door was locked, the property vacant, and all signage has been removed.

Sherrill is wonderful. He took good care of our boys and they looked great when he was finished. A great place to go for a great haircut and some good conversation. Definitely recommend it for anybody looking for a good old fashioned barbershop with a great man who really knows his stuff.

Traditional Barber Shop that is cash or check only which is fine with me. Found this place thanks to google and it's one of the few barber shops open on Wednesdays. Ren did a great job cutting my hair and we had a good conversation too. Friendly staff. Great haircut for $15. I will be going back!

You can go to any quick service haircut pop-up and get a cut, that you may or may not regret. Might be miscommunication, might be rushed service. But if you're a guy who needs a certain look or feels lost and needs honest opinions on what suits your head shape... from a barber that's cut generations of people, do you try your luck at the pop-up? Experience says you go to Tart's. Experience also says that the staff there is friendly and positive, no matter the day you've been having, the stories you'll hear just walking in here can brighten your mood, and add a new perspective to your day. A haircut can change your outlook on the day, and you'd be hard-pressed to find yourself having a bad day coming to Tart's.

After all the amazing reviews I decided to try this place out. Didn't have to wait too long before getting called to the chair. The barber did what I wanted for the most part, but what pissed me off was that he completely cut off my sideburns without even asking. I felt it happen and then there was nothing I could do. Cheap prices (relative to other shops in the area), but it's old and not very well maintained. For $3 more I'd recommend Professional Barbers of Cary, which is a couple minute drive north of here and it's a much newer, better maintained, and cleaner shop with extremely competent barbers. Won't be returning to this shop ever after visiting Professional Barbers of Cary. This shop just doesn't even compare unfortunately.
