Takka Saunas - Takka Superior

Takka Saunas was wonderful!!! We did the sunset sauna. It was so relaxing and the view was beautiful!! It was fun being able to use the lake as a cold plunge, and It was so nice to sit out by the fire and enjoy the sound of the waves after. The host was amazing and so accommodating! She made out experience fantastic from beginning to the end. I really felt pampered. We will definitely be back!!!

What an absolutely wonderful treat! This is such a classic Yooper experience and I was delighted to come across this while looking for other things to do in the area. Absolutely beautiful setting. Lake Superior sunsets are always stunning and even more so while shuffling back and forth between the sauna and the frigid lake water. We got a tiny little sprinkling of rain and a rainbow! It was truly magical. The host was very kind and accomodating.

What a fun and unique experience on Lake Superior! My husband and I booked the private sauna. We were greeted right when we pulled into the parking lot. Check in was easy and everything was explained to us. It is a very chill relaxed vibe, as it should be! The setting is beautiful and the cold plunge in lake Superior is the best. Highly recommend!

The experience was very enjoyable from the moment we checked-in to the time that we had to leave reluctantly. Our only constructive criticism is it took us a long time before we realize we should relax and enjoy the moment. We were so busy talking about the experience, the heat, the cold, the scent, the atmosphere, the vibe, that before we knew it we had 15 minutes left before we finally zenned out. We wished we had zenned out earlier or made the experience two hour long instead. The water, the atmosphere, the scent, the heat and the front desk were all wonderful. Top notch!!!! if we are ever in Michigan again we will make sure to make the stop!!! PS- my skin is so soft!

It’s a 7 out of 5. We went from “is it worth the price?” to “we’d pay double” in the first 10 minutes. We booked a private session while staying at Fresh Coast cabins and it exceeded our expectations. The view is incredible and the booties made the walk in out of the water easy. It’s secluded and peaceful. We cycled between the sauna and the lake 5 times during our session. We’ll back as often as possible.
