Taka Hair Salon

I was in LA before a meeting and needed to get my thick, wavy hair trimmed. After reading reviews for a bunch of salons I called Taka and was able to book an appointment on the day I had time. I arrived at the salon and met Nick. He guided me to his station and asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. After we agreed on length (1/2 inch), layers (yes) and a couple other things, Nick washed my hair. The scalp massage was wonderful (as a lot of reviews said previously). Nick is very personable and really listened to what I said. When he finished styling my hair it was perfect - and if I lived in the LA area I would 1000% go back (and I will next time I am there😊) I highly recommend Nick at Taka Hair Salon!

I’ve always drove by Taka and admired their lovely building. I first booked after a horrible botched haircut. I booked with Nick and let me tell you I have never looked back. He is hands down the most talented hair stylist and was able to not only fix my haircut but made me love the bangs that the first haircut gave me. So from that nick earned my trust and respect. Then I went back a couple months later to get some highlights as someone who has never dyed her hair. He was super good at explaining what the process is and what color he recommends and amazing at explaining what would look good with my face. Even asking if I wear my hair in a ponytail so he could make sure to add highlights you could see in a ponytail. He cares a lot about his clients and is a perfectionist and seriously the

Erica was exceptional! I arranged to do my hair and make up for my photoshoot and honestly? She nailed it. Delivered exactly what I had imagined. She was extremely kind and engaging. The other staff was also very nice! The prices were very reasonable for the product. Definitely recommend

Great cut & style. I’ve been coming here for 13 years. I’ve tried three of their stylists. All very good. I have Asian hair and needed a place that had stylists trained in that. Thanks for another great cut! Wendy

Had a great experience as always here! I had Mitsuko today, and she was great. Very sweet, very professional, and even took me in on a late notice! They are very accommodating here and their service is always consistently good every time. And they always use excellent products on your hair. You’re always guaranteed a quality visit here from the hair washing, to the cut, to the blow dry. Highly recommend this salon!
