I have never felt the need to write a negative or bad review until today… unfortunately my experience at Sunny Nail Spa was really bad. I called this morning and made an appointment- great right? Until I show up and realize that was completely untrue. I had to wait over 20 minutes. The pedicure went pretty well until she started putting the color on my toes. This was a specific color that I really wanted, and I had been waiting to get my nails done for a while, just for this color and to save money. I noticed that she was having a hard time getting polish to come out of the bottle, it appeared to be almost empty. Rings of fire on every single nail. :( Process of getting my nails done was only slightly painful, but especially when she was near the cuticles. I genuinely thought it was fine. I haven’t gotten my nails done in a few years. Over the next few days my nails had this tight feeling, and they were hurting and burning. I haven’t experienced anything like this before. I could only wear them for about two weeks before I decided I absolutely had to remove them due to discomfort from the pain and sensitivity. Removing them was extremely painful, they were deep within the ridge that was created by the nail tech and it felt like I was ripping my own natural nails off as I took them off. Very clean and modernized design with nice athletic set up. First visit. Googled nail salons near me and this was listened and being that it was near 5pm was open until 7pm. I called to confirm if they had time for pedicure with gel polish and asked for price ($45) def affordable as I’m used to Mountain Brook nail prices. I decided to have just a plain manicure while sitting at pedi chair I saw price was only difference in 10-15 to have acrylic nail with gel mani. I enjoyed the customer service of young man while doing pedi. He was def helpful with choosing between the colors I had shown him and found perfect match. Highly recommended. My daughters absolutely loved their nails. Both said they are much more gentle than the numerous shops they've been to in the past. Beautiful custom work. Will return for future needs.

The space is great, but the employees are not friendly and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. I don’t go to the nail salon often and when I go I want a good experience. I will not be back.
