I want to give a shout out and rave about my stylist Cathy at Stylust. I just happened to walk into Stylist after shopping near the old Kohls. I was getting married in just four days and my stylist at the time gave me a rushed haircut and highlights . My hair was browner than when I walked in (I don’t understand how the heck that happened). Anyhow I was desperate to have my hair fixed before my big day. It was late, at about 5 pm. There was only one stylist left in the salon (Cathy) and she agreed to stay late, highlight my hair again and clean up the haircut. I have the weirdest, straightest hair and her cut gave my hair body, she got it to lay right and even gave me some curl! As far as I'm concern she saved my wedding day! Love this salon! I have been getting my hair done by Ruth since we moved to Carlsbad in August. She is a Master Stylist and is excellent with color. Pricing is very reasonable and the salon has a very simple laid back atmosphere. Nothing pretentious about this place! Several stylists to choose from here, that I know, are great at what they do as well. The salon website has a very intuitive booking system as well.

I saw Ruth today, and am so glad I did. She did a fantastic job. She asked a lot of questions and made sure she understood what I wanted by showing me pictures. She has a great technique for ensuring that when my gray grows in, it won't look like a flat line. Plus she's a joy to talk to. I was there for three hours for highlights, base color and cut and she was super sweet and engaging. Highly recommend.
